Most routes in North Cyprus are well signposted, easy to follow and are generally circular routes, with maps available for each area as of this year. Here are five walks from five different parts of North Cyprus
Circular walk of 10km with an ascent of 900m and a difficult and challenging trail with long stretches of steep climbs up the mountainside.
Kucuk Erenkoy Tunnel Trail
With duration of about three hours and an ascent of 350m, this is a relatively easy trail of dirt tracks, steps and marked paths.
Yeni Erenkoy Trail
An easy to moderate route of 11km starting and finishing at the Tourist Information Office in Erenkoy Village, the ascent is 180m and takes in a beach stretch.
Beginning in the village square at Tatlisu, this 9km route is described as moderate to difficult in grade and will take 4-5 hours to complete with an ascent of 550m.
Monumental Olives Trail
Taking its name from the huge and ancient olive tree that you’ll encounter mid-way round, this trail follows paths through olive groves and with an ascent of 130m, taking 2-3 hours to cover 6km – an easy-moderate route.
